Drei Isomere dieses Komplexes wurden mit Tieftemperatur‐NMR‐Spektroskopie und Einkristall‐Röntgenbeugung untersucht.

Oxidation of Mn₂(CO)₁₀ under pseudo gas‐phase conditions generates the weakly coordinated 16 valence electron complex [Mn(CO)₅]⁺, which binds n‐pentane as the strongest ligand available in this system. Three isomers were characterized by low‐temperature NMR and X‐ray crystallography.
