Atomic layer deposition is used to conformally surface engineer polymeric membranes to fabricate inorganic–organic hybrid membranes. These membranes have exceptionally strong attraction toward water even in high oil containing emulsions, which leads to an extremely strong hydration layer at the interface.

Tuning Mechanoreceptor Signaling Enhances the Adjuvant Effect of Biomaterial Vaccines
Matrix stiffness serves as an independent immunological signal in biomaterial vaccines. Stiffer microporous hydrogel vaccines enhance dendritic cell maturation and migration to draining lymph nodes, promote T follicular helper cell expansion through Yap/Taz signaling, and increase antigen‐specific antibody production.

On the non-existence of CR-regular embeddings of S5 [PDF]
In this article, we show that there exists no CR-regular embedding of the 5-sphere $S^5$ into $\mathbb{C}^4$, and also obtain analogous results for embeddings of higher dimensional spheres into complex space.

A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient

Geometry of embedded CR manifolds
The reader is introduced to the geometry of CR manifolds, which are real submanifolds of complex space with a complex structure on a subbundle of its tangent bundle. Explicit formulas for the geometrical aspects of CR(1,1) manifolds are given, including formulas for the Reeb vector field, the Tanaka-Webster connection and the pseudo-holomorphic ...

Interaction‐Driven Assembly Pathways in Heterogeneous Active Microrobotic Systems
Peanut‐ and cube‐shaped light‐powered microrobots exhibit distinct magnetic and photocatalytic responses that determine their heterogeneous self‐assembly. In the dark, magnetic dipole interactions drive colloidal copolymerization with cubes acting as nucleation centers, whereas under light irradiation, phoretic interactions compete with magnetic ...
