Phase-resolved Deadtime of the Crab Pulsar Using IXPE Data
After receiving an X-ray photon, an X-ray detector is not operational for a duration known as deadtime. It is detector specific and its effect on the data depends upon the luminosity of the source.

A Spatially Resolved X-Ray Polarization Map of the Vela Pulsar Wind Nebula
In this paper, we present a full spatially resolved polarization map for the Vela pulsar wind nebula (PWN) observed by IXPE. By employing effective background discrimination techniques, our results show a remarkably high degree of local polarization in ...

Proper Motion of the Crab Pulsar Revisited [PDF]
It has been suggested that the Crab pulsar's proper motion is well aligned with the symmetry axis of the pulsar wind nebula. We have re-visited this question, examining over 6 years of F547M WFPC2 chip 3 images to obtain a best-fit value of $ _\ast = 14.9 \pm 0.8$mas/yr at PA $278\arcdeg \pm 3\arcdeg$.

Pulsar and Magnetar Navigation with Fermi/GBM and GECAM
The determination of the absolute and relative position of a spacecraft is critical for its operation, observations, data analysis, scientific studies, as well as deep-space exploration in general.

45 years of rotation of the Crab pulsar [PDF]
The 30-Hz rotation rate of the Crab pulsar has been monitored at Jodrell Bank Observatory since 1984 and by other observatories before then. Since 1968, the rotation rate has decreased by about $0.5$\,Hz, interrupted only by sporadic and small spin up events (glitches).

From Crab Pulsar to Magnetar? [PDF]
We review the evolution of the Crab pulsar's rotational history during the past 35 years. Representing 3.7% of the pulsar's age, it is possible to estimate the likely development of the magnetic field and characteristic age much better than previously.

X-Ray Observation of the 2017 November Glitch in the Crab Pulsar
We have observed a glitch in the Crab pulsar (PSR B0531+21) in the 0.5–10 keV X-ray band with the X-Ray Pulsar Navigation-I (XPNAV-1) satellite. This glitch occurred around 2017 November 8.

Evolution of Crab Pulsar: Magnetic Inclination Angle and Spin
The well-observed Crab pulsar helps one to uncover the underlying knowledge about pulsar evolution. The routine evolution model simultaneously describes the spin-down caused by magnetic dipole radiation and gravitational-wave radiation (GWR), the damping

On the mystery of the interpulse shift in the Crab pulsar [PDF]
A new mechanism of radiation emission in the polar gap of a pulsar is proposed. It is the curvature radiation which is emitted by returning positrons moving toward the surface of the neutron star along field lines of the inclined magnetic field and ...
