A review of the New Caledonian Arpactophilus (Hymenoptera: Crabronidae)
Zootaxa, 2016The diverse and unique fauna of the apoid wasp genus Arpactophilus Smith (Pemphredoninae: Stigmini: Spilomenina) occurring in New Caledonia is reviewed. The previously documented diversity of 17 species is expanded to a total of 48, with 31 new species described and figured from across the main island.

A cladistic analysis of the digger wasp tribe Bembicini based on morphological characters is presented. The underlying data matrix comprises 64 terminal taxa (coded on genus-level) and 54 morphological characters. The resulting strict consensus tree was used as the basis for a revised subtribal classification of the Bembicini.

Catalogue of Ampulicidae, Crabronidae and Sphecidae of Iran (Hymenoptera, Apoidea)
Zootaxa, 2017An updated checklist of the Sphecidae sensu lato (Ampulicidae, Crabronidae and Sphecidae) of Iran is presented. Records were extracted from the literature published between 1871 and 2016. In total, 404 species belonging to 71 genera and 11 subfamilies are listed.

The Pan-Pacific Entomologist, 2008Abstract The Nearctic Ammoplanus are reviewed. Eight new species are described: Ammoplanus alpinensis, A. bifidus, A. gilberti, A. molliekayi, A. pallidus, A. rhinocerus, A. sulcifrons, and A. surrufus. Males of A. quabajai Pate (1943), and A. vanyumi Pate (1943), and the female of A. tetli Pate (1943) are described.

Wasps nested in compacted sand, pri- marily where vegetative cover was 5-30% and vegetation height was 0.5 to 33 cm.
