Initiated cracking of natural bitumen to increase the yield of distillate fractions
The paper introduces the results of thermal cracking of high-sulfur bitumen on Ashalchinsk field (Tatarstan) preliminary treated with ozone-oxygen mixture. The changes in substanta and fractional composition of cracking products were determined depending

Causes of Cracking of Ignition Cable [PDF]
The experiments described here show that the cracking at sharp bends, observed in the insulation of internal combustion engine high tension ignition wires after service, is due to a chemical attack upon the rubber by the ozone produced by the electric ...

Powder Metallurgy Preparation of Metastable β Ti–Cr–Ge Alloys for Medical Applications
This study develops metastable β Ti–Cr–Ge alloys using powder metallurgy for biomedical implants. The Ti–10Cr–2Ge alloy exhibits superior mechanical performance with high yield strength (>1100 MPa), low Young's modulus (<85 GPa), and excellent strain hardening behavior.

Ca2.5Ag0.3Sm0.2Co4O9 semiconductor materials are synthesized and produced in this study using the sol–gel and cold pressing techniques for thermoelectric generator applications. As template samples are added, the Seebeck coefficient and power factor values rise, peaking at 800 °C for Ca2.5Ag0.3Sm0.2Co4O9 at 274.47 μV K−1 and 0.58 mW mK−2, respectively.

This study explores combining two existing aerospace titanium alloy powders, processing them via field‐assisted sintering technology and the subsequent discovery of a novel alloy composition, termed S23, with ultra‐high tensile toughness. Fine‐scale alpha precipitates favorably form in the alloy despite the relatively slow cooling, providing an ...
