Four new species from the Afrotropical region are described: Pioneabathra flammea sp.nov.; Diathrausta media sp.nov.; Udeoides invagnalis sp.nov. and Pyrausta rosecentralis sp.nov. Adult moths and their genitalia are illustrated.

Studies on African Crambidae I- a new genus and species from Africa (Pyraloidea: Crambidae: Spilomelinae)

A new genus and species is described from a series of specimens collected in the broad vegetation band from Mali to the Kenyan coast. It is placed close to Metasia (Spilomelinae) because of the bilobed uncus in the male genitalia. It seems to be linked to drier habitats.
