Obstruction caused by suprasellar cisterna arachnoid cyst expansion after ventriculoperitoneal shunt in children with hydrocephalus

Pediatric Investigation, EarlyView.
This article focuses on four cases of hydrocephalus after ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt in our center from 2016 to 2021. Imaging follow‐up showed that the secondary suprasellar cisterna arachnoid cyst was enlarged and then formed obstructive hydrocephalus. The clinical symptoms were relieved after a suprasellar cisterna cyst stomy.

Acquired narcolepsy secondary to a presumptive hypothalamic hamartoma in a young German wirehaired pointer dog

Abstract A 3‐year‐old, male, entire, German wirehaired pointer dog was presented with a 2‐year history of paroxysmal episodes of collapse associated with reduced levels of consciousness. A magnetic resonance imaging study identified a single, ill‐defined, non‐contrast‐enhancing, intra‐axial mass lesion involving the hypothalamus.

Analysis of Factors Influencing Voice Outcome in Unilateral Vocal Fold Paresis and Paralysis

ABSTRACT Objective To explore factors influencing voice outcome in patients with unilateral vocal fold paresis and paralysis (UVFP). Methods A total of 578 patients diagnosed with UVFP by laryngeal electromyography and follow‐up were included, including 286 males and 292 females, with an average age of (43.18 ± 14.65) years (13–80 years).
