Predicting cryptocurrency crash dates
Empirical Economics, 2022The nature and novelty of crypto markets have given rise to speculative bubbles, which have permeated almost all cryptocurrencies. This paper shows that the log-periodic model with conditional heteroscedasticity structures has predictive capabilities to estimate the most likely crash date of cryptocurrency bubbles.

Vehicle Crash Prediction using Vision
2021 55th Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems (CISS), 2021Road accidents due to vehicles crashing each other not only result in loss of lives but also cause heavy damage to the infrastructure. Several infrastructural changes, for example, placement of mirror on blind corners, appropriate placement of traffic signs and lights etc., do reduce the number of vehicle crashes.

Aggregate crash prediction models: Introducing crash generation concept
Accident Analysis & Prevention, 2010Safety conscious planning is a new proactive approach towards understanding crashes. It requires a planning-level decision-support tool to facilitate proactive approach to assessing safety effects of alternative urban planning scenarios. The objective of this research study is to develop a series of aggregate crash prediction models (ACPM) that are ...

Predicting recurring crash stacks
Proceedings of the 27th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering, 2012Software crash is one of the most severe bug manifestations and developers want to fix crash bugs quickly and efficiently. The Crash Reporting System (CRS) is widely deployed for this purpose. Even with the help of CRS, fixes are largely by manual effort, which is error-prone and results in recurring crashes even after the fixes.

Real-Time Framework to Predict Crash Likelihood and Cluster Crash Severity
Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2023This study proposes a three-stage framework for real-time crash likelihood and severity prediction. Firstly, a real-time crash likelihood prediction model was developed. Secondly, a real-time crash severity clustering model was proposed to cluster the crashes into different severity levels. Thirdly, a severity clustering validation model was developed

A crash-prediction model for multilane roads
Accident Analysis & Prevention, 2007Considerable research has been carried out in recent years to establish relationships between crashes and traffic flow, geometric infrastructure characteristics and environmental factors for two-lane rural roads. Crash-prediction models focused on multilane rural roads, however, have rarely been investigated.
