Ultra Short Pulse Laser Welding of Glass to Metal in the Low Fluence Regime
Ultrashortpulse laser welding enables precise joining of glass and metal with minimal thermal damage. We introduce the TwoThresholds Criteria to identify suitable laser parameters by combining the nonlinearabsorption threshold in glass with the metalmodification fluence threshold.

Niche partitioning is important for the coexistence of closely related species, allowing species to reduce overlap in resource use despite shared ecological requirements. In alpine environments, harsh climatic conditions and low habitat complexity constrain opportunities for ecological segregation, making seasonal resource fluctuation especially ...

Schematic illustration of the experimental procedure of the specimens. ABSTRACT This research work investigated the effect of the cyclic thermo‐hygrometric aging regime between −20°C and +40°C with 0–400 cycles on the reciprocating tribological properties of fused deposition modeling (FDM) printed polylactic acid (PLA) and the same material reinforced ...

Erosion Resistance Enhancement in Epoxy Composites by Recycled Rubber: Effect of Rubber Type
Erosion resistance enhancement in epoxy composites by recycled rubber. ABSTRACT Epoxy‐based materials have low erosion resistance due to their brittle nature, and toughness modification stands out for enhancing it. At this stage, the use of waste rubber as a reinforcement component in the composite system is of interest due to its role in providing ...

High-resolution topography of Gusev crater using CTX data (Mars).
High-resolution Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) of Mars are both limited and crucial for studying surface processes. The available DTMs generated from Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter (MOLA) and High-Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) data offer limited ...

Biodiversity is threatened by human activities, with extinction debt accumulating rapidly. Many of these activities change the connectivity of populations, fragmenting existing population systems or bringing previously isolated populations or species into contact.

The Evolution of Autonomous Systems for Planetary Cave Exploration: A Review
ABSTRACT The exploration of Subsurface Access Points (SAPs), such as lava tubes on the Moon and Mars, has gained significant interest due to their potential as stable environments shielded from surface radiation and temperature extremes. These sites are considered high‐value targets for detecting water and signs of ancient life, and assessing their ...
