Investigation Into the Electrochemical Performance of Micron‐ and Nanosized Tin in Diglyme and Carbonate Electrolytes in Sodium Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study compares Sn particles of different sizes in NIBs using carbonate‐ and diglyme‐based electrolytes. Diglyme electrolytes enable stable cycling despite large volume changes, while carbonate electrolytes degrade rapidly, especially with nanoparticles.

Arthroscopic Three Hybrid Anchor Construct Fixation in Skeletally Immature Patients With Tibial Eminence Fractures

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract This article describes a surgical technique for skeletally immature patients with tibial eminence fractures of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) insertion. Owing to the distinct anatomical characteristics in skeletally immature patients compared with adults, we arthroscopically implanted a three hybrid anchor construct into the posterior ...

Automated Lunar Crater Detection with Edge-Based Feature Extraction and Robust Ellipse Refinement

open access: yesAerospace
Automated detection of impact craters is essential for planetary surface studies, yet it remains a challenging task due to variable morphology, degraded rims, complex geological settings, and inconsistent illumination conditions.

Exploration of Victoria Crater by the Mars Rover Opportunity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The Mars rover Opportunity has explored Victoria crater, a ~750-meter eroded impact crater formed in sulfate-rich sedimentary rocks. Impact-related stratigraphy is preserved in the crater walls, and meteoritic debris is present near the crater rim.

The self‐secondary crater population of the Hokusai crater on Mercury [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2016
AbstractWhether or not self‐secondaries dominate small crater populations on continuous ejecta deposits and floors of fresh impact craters has long been a controversy. This issue potentially affects the age determination technique using crater statistics.

Single flap approach combined with periosteal pedicle flap as a regenerative procedure: A case report

open access: yesClinical Advances in Periodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Single flap approach (SFA) is a validated procedure for obtaining clinical attachment gain and pocket closure when applied to deep intraosseous defects. However, the presence of an interdental crater as well as the tooth location were associated with a lower rate of primary intention closure, possibly jeopardizing the outcome of the

High Entropy–Driven Performance Enhancement in Perovskite Oxides for Energy Conversion and Storage Systems

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
High‐entropy perovskite oxides enable tunable structures and properties through multi‐cation disorder and entropy stabilization. This review summarizes advances in synthesis, structural and defect engineering, and their applications in OER/ORR, CO2RR, and electrochemical energy storage, highlighting in situ characterization and modeling that clarify ...

Dark aeolian sediments in Martian craters: Composition and sources

open access: yes, 2011
Our research focuses on the mineralogical characteristics of dark sediment deposits in Martian craters (dunes, dune fields, and sand sheets) and their local sediment sources, carried out on the basis of 70 selected localities.
