Proterozoic first-order sedimentary sequences of the São Francisco craton, eastern Brazil
The São Francisco craton in eastern Brazil hosts sedimentary sequences deposited between the Paleoarchean (∼3300 Ma) and Late Neoproterozoic (∼580 Ma). Proterozoic successions occurring in this region comprise five 1st-order sedimentary sequences, which ...

Congo-São Francisco craton in Paleoproterozoic-Mesoproterozoic supercontinent Nuna
The location of the Congo-São Francisco (CSF) craton, one of the largest cratons in Proterozoic paleogeography, has been poorly constrained for the supercontinent Nuna interval (ca. 1800–1300 Ma).

Geochronological and geochemical evidences for extension-related Neoarchean granitoids in the southern São Francisco Craton, Brazil [PDF]
New LA-SF-ICP-MS U-Pb zircon dating of high-K granitoids from the Campo Belo metamorphic complex, southern São Francisco Craton (Brazil), reveals a long period (ca. 100 My) of Neoarchean granitic magmatism that post-date the TTG magmatism.

Abstract The Paleoproterozoic Transamazonian orogeny yielded a series of discrete orogens in Brazil. The present field study in the Quadrilatero Ferrifero (QF) indicates that the southern Sao Francisco craton region of the Brazilian highlands preserves a portion of one of these orogens. Two sets of Transamazonian structures occur in this region.
