Decoupling Dynamics and Crosslink Stability in Supramolecular Hydrogels Using Associative Exchange

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
How does reorganization impact the stability of supramolecular hydrogels? In contrast to dissociative crosslink exchange, implementing associative exchange in macroscale DNA hydrogels enables decoupling of reorganization dynamics from thermal and mechanical stability.

Electrically Tunable Friction: From Sticky to Slippery with Ionic Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates electrically tunable friction “from sticky to slippery” using ionic hydrogels, achieving reversible more‐than‐fifty‐fold modulation without liquid lubricants. An electric field extracts a salt‐rich interfacial layer that dramatically reduces friction.

Investigation of the Intra- and Inter-Limb Muscle Coordination of Hands-and-Knees Crawling in Human Adults by Means of Muscle Synergy Analysis

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
To investigate the intra- and inter-limb muscle coordination mechanism of human hands-and-knees crawling by means of muscle synergy analysis, surface electromyographic (sEMG) signals of 20 human adults were collected bilaterally from 32 limb related ...

Use it or lose it? Effects of age, experience, and disuse on crawling

open access: yesDevelopmental Psychobiology, 2018
What happens to early acquired but later abandoned motor skills? To investigate effects of disuse on early-developing motor skills, we examined crawling in two groups of habitual crawlers (34 6-12-month-old infants and five adults with Uner Tan Syndrome)

Enhancing Grayscale E‐Beam Lithography: Thermal Treatment of Novolak‐Based Resist for 3D Nanostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Surface roughness and chemistry of novolak‐based grayscale resists are dependent on both exposure dose and post‐exposure thermal treatment. The observed trends align with the viscoelastic phase separation model and underscore the need to consider both thermodynamic and kinetic factors in resist processing. By tailoring thermal treatment, it is possible
