Crawling the MobileCoin Quorum System [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
We continuously crawl the young MobileCoin network, uncovering the quorum configurations of core nodes and the quorum system resulting from these configurations. This report discusses our crawl methodology, encountered challenges, and our current empirical results.

Measurement and Analysis of Human Infant Crawling for Rehabilitation: A Narrative Review

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2021
When a child shows signs of potential motor developmental disorders, early diagnosis of central nervous system (CNS) impairment is beneficial. Known as the first CNS-controlled mobility for most of infants, mobility during crawling usually has been used ...

Integrative neuromechanics of crawling in D. melanogaster larvae

open access: yeseLife, 2016
Locomotion in an organism is a consequence of the coupled interaction between brain, body and environment. Motivated by qualitative observations and quantitative perturbations of crawling in Drosophila melanogaster larvae, we construct a minimal ...

On the Swimming of \textit{Dictyostelium} amoebae [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Traditionally, the primary mode for locomotion of amoeboid cells was thought to be crawling on a substrate. Recently, it has been experimentally shown that \textit{Dictostelium} amoeba and neutrophils can also swim in a directed fashion. The mechanisms for amoeboid crawling and swimming were hypothesized to be similar.

Muscle synergy analysis of eight inter-limb coordination modes during human hands-knees crawling movement

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2023
In order to reveal in-depth the neuromuscular control mechanism of human crawling, this study carries out muscle synergy extraction and analysis on human hands-knees crawling under eight specific inter-limb coordination modes, which are defined according

UDP‐glucose dehydrogenase variants cause dystroglycanopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
Abstract UDP‐glucose dehydrogenase (UGDH) variants have been associated with hypotonia, developmental delay, and epilepsy. We report the first pathologic evidence of dystroglycanopathy in siblings with UGDH variants. Both presented around 6 months with developmental delay and elevated creatinine kinase.

“It's Just Good Science”: A Qualitative Study Exploring Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Canadian Arthritis Research

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Despite knowledge that health outcomes vary according to patient characteristics, identity, and geography, including underrepresented populations in arthritis research remains a challenge. We conducted interviews to explore how researchers in arthritis have used equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles to inform their research ...
