Performance Analysis of CRDSA Based on M2M Flow Model

Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering, 2021
Internet of Things (IoT) is an important application scenario in the fifth generation of mobile communications. Machine to machine (M2M) is the most common form of IoT application at present. With the rapid development of IoT in the world in recent years, M2M systems have been widely used in various fields.

Performance Evaluation of Access Control for CRDSA and R-CRDSA under High Traffic Load

MILCOM 2013 - 2013 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2013
In this paper, we propose access control schemes for the contention resolution diversity slotted ALOHA (CRDSA) and the reservation-CRDSA (R-CRDSA) schemes to enhance throughput under high traffic loads. We also propose an estimation technique for the traffic load of CRDSA. In slotted ALOHA, many schemes have been proposed for the same purpose.

Asynchronous Contention Resolution Diversity ALOHA: Making CRDSA Truly Asynchronous

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2014
Following the introduction of contention resolution diversity slotted ALOHA (CRDSA), a number of variants of the scheme have been proposed in literature. A major drawback of these slotted random access (RA) schemes is related to the need to keep slot synchronization among all transmitters.

R-CRDSA: Reservation-Contention Resolution Diversity Slotted ALOHA for Satellite Networks

IEEE Communications Letters, 2012
In this letter, a reservation scheme with contention resolution diversity slotted ALOHA (CRDSA), called R-CRDSA, is proposed. Although CRDSA promises excellent performance compared to slotted ALOHA (SA), there are two barriers to be overcome for its use in satellite networks. The first is a low critical point of an offered load; i.e., at this point, as

Maximum Achievable Sum Rate of CRDSA under Total Transmit Power Limitation

2020 IEEE 92nd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2020-Fall), 2020
In this paper, we propose a new transmit power diversity scheme for contention resolution diversity slotted ALOHA (CRDSA) under total transmit power limitation in satellite networks. In the proposed scheme, the total transmit power of each device within a frame is considered to be the same, and allocated to multiple packet replicas, and the transmit ...

Generalized Encoding CRDSA: Maximizing Throughput in Enhanced Random Access Schemes for Satellite

Lecture Notes of the Institute for Computer Sciences, Social-Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering, 2013
This work starts from the analysis of the literature about the Random Access protocols with contention resolution as Contention Resolution Diversity Slotted Aloha (CRDSA) and introduces a possible enhancement, named Gener- alized Contention Resolution Diversity Slotted Aloha (GE-CRDSA).

MR-CRDSA: Multiple reservation-contention resolution diversity slotted ALOHA for battle-field communication

MILCOM 2015 - 2015 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2015
In the satellite networks (SATNETs), the random access (RA) schemes are studied to transmit the bursty traffic because the dedicated access (DA) schemes are inefficient to transmit bursty traffic due to overhead caused by control message. The slotted ALOHA (SA), used in the SATNETs, has low throughput owing to the collision between packets.
