Creatine kinase in the dog: A review

Veterinary Research Communications, 1993
In the dog, creatine kinase (CK) is mostly present in the skeletal muscles, myocardium, brain and intestine. The MM isoenzyme predominates in muscles and myocardium. In plasma, reference values depend on the technique used and CK-MB accounts for about 30-45% of total CK activity. Sex has no influence on plasma CK activity, which is higher in young dogs

ATP Nucleotidylation of Creatine Kinase

Biochemistry, 1999
Creatine kinase (CK) will autoincorporate radiolabel from [gamma32P]ATP and has thus been reported to be autophosphorylated. Also, in contrast to normal brain enzyme, CK in Alzheimer-diseased brain homogenate shows greatly decreased activity, abolished photolabeling with [32P]8N3ATP, and no detectable autoincorporation of radiolabel by [gamma32P]ATP ...

Creatine kinase estimations

Pathology, 1969
Creatine kinase estimations have been undertaken in carrier detection in progressive muscular dystrophy, on amniotic fluid andin nutritional muscular dystrophy in the Rottnest quokka. Carrier detection in close female relatives of sufferers from pseudohypertrophic muscular dystrophy has been based on four criteria.

Creatine Kinase Isoenzyme 1

Clinics in Laboratory Medicine, 1982
It is not yet clear whether creatine kinase isoenzyme 1 (CK1) fulfills ideal criteria for a tumor marker. Based on preliminary data, however, CK1 appears to be at least equal to the few markers now available.
