Dialog: A Journal of Theology, 2005: Process-oriented thinkers complain that the classical understanding of the God-world relationship is inherently dualistic. Instead they propose a model of the God-world relationship based on the soul-body analogy. Yet this seems to compromise the freedom of God vis-a-vis creation and the notion of God as Trinity.

2018John Philoponus was an influential sixth century Christian theologian, philosopher, and scientist. Philoponus was the first Christian to make use of the concept of infinity to formulate philosophical arguments in favour of creatio ex nihilo (creation out of nothing ), the view that God created the universe out of nothing.

Religious Studies, 1983For many philosophical thinkers down through the centuries, the notion of a creation out of sheer nothing has been found to be quite unintelligible.
