Study on creep coefficient formulae of concrete

2010 2nd IEEE International Conference on Information Management and Engineering, 2010
Directed towards the use limitation of the current prediction model of creep, to combine the current characteristic of concrete material and the available test data, and referring to the pertinent model abroad, the method that the other factors are controlled under standard state but only this factor varies is adopted to evaluate the feasibility of the

On the variability of the creep coefficient of structural concrete

Matériaux et Constructions, 1984
Experimental data from many creep test series are compared with predictions from various formulas in international codes. A mathematical simple creep formula is proposed and its accuracy is determined from comparison with the experimental data. Based hereon, a probabilistic model for the creep coefficient is proposed and the different sources of ...

Prediction of Creep in Bending from Tension- and Compression-Creep Data When Creep Coefficients Are Unequal

Journal of Fluids Engineering, 1958
Abstract The method of predicting creep in bending from data on creep in tension previously described has been extended to the prediction of creep in bending when the creep in tension and compression are unequal, and when the time-dependent and time-independent stress functions are unequal.

Aging coefficient, creep coefficient and extrapolating aging coefficient from short term test for sealed concrete

Journal of Wuhan University of Technology-Mater. Sci. Ed., 2011
Aging coefficient and creep coefficient are important parameters for creep analysis of any structure. With the aim to obtain those parameters, an experimental investigation is carried out on sealed concrete. Altogether ten specimens were tested, out of which four were for creep, two for shrinkage and remaining four for relaxation test.

Transport coefficients of an evaporating liquid drop in creeping flow

Wärme- und Stoffübertragung, 1989
A theoretical analysis is made of the heat, mass and momentum transfer from an evaporative liquid sphere which is suddenly introduced into a parallel stream of fluid at a higher temperature. The velocity field around the liquid sphere is assumed to be steady and of the Hadamard-Rybczynski type.

A new extraction method of creep exponents and coefficients from an indentation creep test by multiaxial stress analysis

Theoretical and Applied Fracture Mechanics, 2020
Abstract In this paper, we propose a method for analytically extracting creep exponents and coefficients in Norton’s law from the results of a ball indentation creep test using the finite element method. Elastic-creep finite element analyses were performed with the creep exponent and coefficient varied widely, and a simple method of obtaining three ...

Sensitivity of creep coefficients to the fundamental water hammer period in viscoelastic pipes

Urban Water Journal, 2021
In this study, by calibrating creep coefficients using two methods of creep function and transient pressure, the effect of Kelvin-Voigt elements on creep behavior and pressure fluctuations is inves...

The analysis of dates obtained from long-term creep tests to determine creep coefficients of rock salt

Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment, 2018
Failure to properly characterize time-dependent behavior (i.e. creep) of rocks and the use of inappropriate behavior models when analyzing stability of underground spaces such as mining drifts and stopes, road tunnels, different types of caverns and reservoirs for storing natural gas, petroleum fluids, and compressed air energy as well as nuclear waste
