Research on creep constitutive model of steel cables

Construction and Building Materials, 2020
Abstract Creep and stress relaxation of steel cables caused by long-term loads will affect the mechanical behavior of tensile structures. A creep experiment of small-diameter steel cables was conducted at normal temperatures to determine the creep constitutive model of the cables using the time–creep strain data for different prestress levels.

Constitutive model of concrete creep damage considering the deterioration of creep parameters

Construction and Building Materials, 2021
Abstract The MTS815.03 rock test system is used to carry out mechanical property and triaxial compression creep tests on concrete specimens of the same specification under different confining pressure conditions to study the creep characteristics of concrete structures in deep high-stress level areas. The relationship between the creep strain rate of

A Constitutive Model for Creep Rupture

Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures, 2010
The paper presents a viscoplastic formulation including damage for creep and creep rupture. The model incorporates a damage evolution law which includes both the viscoplastic strain rate as well as stress rate. Primary, secondary and tertiary creep are incorporated in this formulation.

A Creep-Damage Constitutive Model for Sandstone

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
Based on the results obtained by the triaxial creep test, a creep-damage constitutive model for sandstone is presented by using the damage theory and by introducing the concept of “the whole process of damage” into Burgers creep model. The parameters of the model are determined by fitting the creep test data.

Observation-guided constitutive modelling for creeping landslides

Géotechnique, 2016
Creeping landslides are common in mountainous areas, causing significant damage to buildings and infrastructure. The major difficulty in modelling of these landslides is the inability of laboratory tests to reproduce adequately the macro behaviour in the creeping soil masses. The proposed approach of observation-guided constitutive modelling addresses

A constitutive creep model for single crystal ice

Mechanics of Materials, 1997
Abstract A constitutive creep model for single crystal ice has been formulated based on the experimental results and the mechanism of the multiplication process of mobile dislocations. In this model, the primary mechanism is considered to be the dislocation motion on the basal planes of single crystal ice due to strong creep anisotropy. The preferred

Constitutive Model for Viscoplasticity and Creep

1995
The constitutive models for cyclic viscoplasticity are used for inelastic analyses of space crafts, airplanes, nuclear systems and electric packaging. For demand of the larger level of accuracy involved in the implementation of computer codes, the development of the better constitutive equations to describe the material behavior such as viscoplasticity,
