Evaluation of Feed Strategies and Changes of Stocking Rate to Decrease the Carbon Footprint in a Traditional Cow-Calf System: A Simulation Model

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science, 2021
One of the main production challenges associated with climate change is the reduction of carbon emissions. Increasing the efficiency of resource utilization is one way to achieve this purpose.

Double grazing bifurcations of the non-smooth railway wheelset systems

open access: yesNonlinear dynamics, 2021
There are numerous non-smooth factors in railway vehicle systems, such as flange impact, dry friction, creep force, and so on. Such non-smooth factors heavily affect the dynamical behavior of the railway systems.

Spontaneous Long‐Range Order and Alignment in Phase‐Separated Dynamic Covalent Networks Using Discrete Siloxanes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Spontaneously aligned, long‐range hexagonal columnar ordering is obtained in phase‐separated dynamic covalent networks by combining discrete siloxanes and dynamic acylsemicarbazide bonds. The ordered network shows improved (thermo)mechanical properties and creep resistance compared to the disordered network.

Effect of Grazing Stubble Height and Season on Establishment, Persistence, and Quality of Creeping Bluestem [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Range Management, 1986
Creeping bluestem (Schizachyrium stoloniferum) was grazed every 6O-days to 15 or 30-cm stubble heights during the following 4 periods (seasons): (1) June, Aug., Oct. (JAO); (2) Oct., Dec., Feb. (ODF); (3) Feb., Apr., June (FAJ); (4) year-long (YL). Average diameter (37 cm) of piants grnzed in JAO and YL to lS-cm stubble was less (PC 0.05) than piants ...
