Creep Life Prediction of HR3C Steel Using Creep Damage Models

Volume 3B: Design and Analysis, 2017
The world’s energy market demands more efficient power plants, hence, the operating conditions become severe. For thermal plants, Ultra Super Critical (USC) conditions were employed with an operating temperature above 600°C. In such conditions, the main failure mechanism is creep rupture behavior.

Mechanism Based Unified Creep Model Incorporating Damage

Volume 6: Materials and Fabrication, Parts A and B, 2008
Although it is often said that diffusional flow creep is out of the practical engineering applications, the need for a unified model capable to account for the resulting action of both diffusional and dislocation type creep is justified by the increasing demands of reliable creep design for very long lives (exceeding 100.000h), high stress-low ...

Irradiation creep models — an overview

Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1988
Abstract The modelling of irradiation creep is now highly developed but many of the basic processes underlying the models are poorly understood. A brief introduction is given to the theory of cascade interactions, point defect clustering and dislocation climb. The range of simple irradiation creep models is reviewed including: preferred nucleation of

Deformation-mechanism-based creep model and damage mechanism of G115 steel over a wide stress range

Materials Science & Engineering: A, 2019
The effects of applied stress (150–250 MPa) on the creep deformation behavior and creep damage (stable and unstable deformation) were studied systematically for a novel tempered martensite ferritic steel G115 at 650 °C.

A microindentation two-fold creep model for characterizing short- and long-term creep behavior of a cement paste

, 2020
Owing to the micrometric size of the probed volume and the minute duration of a test, microindentation provides a unique tool to characterize the non-aging creep properties of a cement paste in hygral equilibrium.

Creep and creep modelling of a multimodal nickel-base superalloy

Acta Materialia, 2011
The creep properties of different γ'-Ni3Al distributions in the Ni115 nickel superalloy produced by heat treatment have been examined. At the stresses and temperatures employed it is shown that particle bypass cannot occur by cutting or bowing and so presumably occurs by a climb-glide motion.
