Three‐Dimensional Architecture of Ectopic Epithelium and Vasculature in Ovarian Endometriosis Revealed by Tissue‐Clearing Imaging

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Our study employed a modified tissue‐clearing method combined with deep imaging for 3D reconstruction of ovarian endometriosis (OEM) lesions, revealing its morphological polymorphism at tissue and cellular levels. Besides, vessels preferentially clustered around the ectopic epithelium, with their distribution pattern strongly linked to the location of ...

Fostering Dialogue on AI Ethics and Biases Through an Issue‐Based Traveling Exhibition

open access: yesCurator: The Museum Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Discriminatory algorithms, unauthorized data use, and environmental costs show how artificial intelligence (AI) advancements are tied to larger sociopolitical issues. Through the design and pilot study of AI Dilemmas, an issue‐based traveling exhibition, this qualitative case study explores fostering dialogue on such complex scientific ...

What Is a Clinically Meaningful Change in Diabetes Distress? Findings for Diabetes Care and Research From the SFDT1 Cohort

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims Diabetes distress (DD) is common and evolves heterogeneously over time. We aimed to estimate minimal clinically important differences (MCID) for the Problem Areas in Diabetes (PAID) scale and its sub‐dimensions and to identify predictors of worsening over 1 year in people with type 1 diabetes (PwT1D).

The Challenges of Backsourcing

open access: yesFinancial Accountability &Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Public sector outsourcing sometimes ends in unexpected termination, forcing authorities to engage in backsourcing. The aim of this study is to identify the challenges posed by unexpected terminations of sourcing contracts in the public sector and analyze how actual practices in these situations diverge from theoretical expectations in the ...

Extracellular fluid viscosity influences the mechanics and migration of MDA‐MB‐231 cells in a macromolecule‐dependent manner

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Macromolecule‐dependent increases in extracellular fluid viscosity alter cell phenotype. These distinct macromolecules create different extracellular environments that modulate cell morphology and mechanoprotein expression, migration and invasion capacity, and cellular mechanical properties.
