Impact of creep-fatigue interaction on divertor tungsten under high heat flux
High heat flux as 20 MW m−2 during stationary operation can be foreseen in future fusion devices, leading to recrystallization and thermal creep in tungsten targets. Both recrystallization and thermal creep impact would play significant roles in service.

Creep-fatigue life assessment of cruciform weldments using the linear matching method
This paper presents a creep-fatigue life assessment of a cruciform weldment made of the steel AISI type 316N(L) and subjected to reversed bending and cyclic dwells at 550C using the Linear Matching Method (LMM) and considering different weld zones.

Theoretical backgrounds of durability analysis by normalized equivalent stress functionals
Generalized durability diagrams and their properties are considered for a material under a multiaxial loading given by an arbitrary function of time. Material strength and durability under such loading are described in terms of durability, safety factor ...

The alternation of creep properties is unavoidable in welded structures after suffering from cyclic damage, which may lead to the premature failure of power plant units and hard to predict. This work is devoted to clarify the influence of prior low cycle

Life Prediction Using the Creep Rupture Data Described by XML
This research aims at construction of the technology which can carry out sharing of the material databases built in domestic and overseas as common property. The existing material databases are built by an original concept and an original technique, and they are not premised on sharing.

Influence of notch constraint on creep damage evolution and rupture life of grade 91 steel [PDF]
Coal-fired power plants must operate at higher temperatures and pressures to achieve maximum efficiency. During operation, components are exposed to a creep environment that can lead to catastrophic failure.

Optimal Design of Mises Truss with Respect to Time to Creep Rapture
The paper deals with problem of optimal choice of slope angle for bars of Mises truss in creep conditions. Results of optimization with respect to brittle creep rupture coincide with elastic solution (45°), while for ductile creep rupture there is no ...

Temperature dependence of creep rupture life of long-term serviced Grade 91 steel
A series of creep tests, which include those under actual service conditions of ultra-super-critical power plants, have been carried out on long-term serviced Grade 91 steels to investigate the temperature dependence of the remaining creep life of the ...

Influence of axial load on internal pressure creep of Mod.9Cr-1Mo circumferential welded pipe
Mod.9Cr-1Mo steel(P91) is widely used for high temperature pipes in ultra-super-critical thermal power plants. However it was recently reported that the creep damage was detected at heat affected zone(HAZ) in welded joints of the pipes so-called the ...
