Towards Defect Phase Diagrams: From Research Data Management to Automated Workflows
A research data management infrastructure is presented for the systematic integration of heterogeneous experimental and simulation data required for defect phase diagrams. The approach combines openBIS with a companion application for large‐object storage, automated metadata extraction, provenance tracking and federated data access, thereby supporting ...

STRENGTH SHRINKAGE AND CREEP OF CONCRETE IN TENSION AND COMPRESSION
Strength, shrinkage and creep of concrete in tension and compression have been determined and the relationship between those properties was studied. Direct tensile tests were applied to measure those properties in tension.

Creep Rupture Strength of Notched Aluminium Specimens
Creep rupture tests of aluminium rectangular-section bars with and without typical V notches (either in thickness or width direction) were performed at 230°C. The effects of the working conditions of V notch on the creep deformation and the creep rupture strength were investigated.

Interaction of Ladle Slag With Varying SiO2 Content and Recyclate‐Based MgO–C Refractories
Ladle slags (CaO/Al2O3 = 1) with 1–20 wt% SiO2 were investigated in contact with industrial MgO–C refractories fabricated from fresh magnesia and 50 wt% recyclate. The sessile drop method at 1600°C reveals intensive gas formation, delayed slag infiltration in recyclate‐based samples, and, under high‐SiO2 slag, formation of a dense MgAl2O4‐rich ...

Experimental study on creep behavior of high-strength concrete filled steel tubular (HSCFST) columns
The use of High Strength Concrete Filled Steel Tube (HSCFST) members has become widespread, but there is limited research on their creep behavior. This study examines the creep and shrinkage characteristics of HSCFST columns subjected to axial loading by

Performance of shallow anchor in ice-rich silt [PDF]
Thesis (M.S.) University of Alaska Fairbanks, 2014Shallow anchor systems have been widely used for decades due to their time and cost efficiency. Yet when it comes to cold regions like Alaska, new challenges caused by the harsh environment need to be ...

This study develops sustainable MgO–C refractories using recycled materials and eco‐friendly fructose–tannin binders. The enhanced performance of citric acid as a cross‐linker and functional additives on mechanical and thermomechanical properties was examined. Characterization included strength tests, immersion trials, and microstructural and inclusion

Hydrogen environment embrittlement of astroloy and Udimet 700 (nickel-base) and V-57 (iron-base) superalloys [PDF]
The sensitivity to hydrogen environment embrittlement of three superalloys was determined. Astroloy forgings were resistant to embrittlement during smooth tensile, notched tensile, and creep testing in 3.5-MN/sq m hydrogen over the range 23 to 760 C. The

Bending creep of corrugated fibreboard in cycling relative humidity : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Applied Science in Agricultural Engineering at Massey University [PDF]
Packaging of fresh fruit for export is a major use for corrugated fibreboard manufactured in New Zealand. However the cold and humid conditions used to preserve fruit quality are particularly detrimental to the strength of corrugated packaging.
