Enhancing spray coverage in peanut canopies using prohexadione calcium

open access: yesAgricultural &Environmental Letters, Volume 11, Issue 2, December 2026.
Abstract Excessive vine growth in peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) can limit fungicide spray penetration, reducing protection against foliar diseases. Prohexadione calcium suppresses vine growth and may improve spray distribution, but its effects on fungicide coverage in peanut remain unclear.

Quantifying nitrogen release behavior of enhanced efficiency fertilizers in rainfed cotton through field‐based and combustion methods

open access: yesAgricultural &Environmental Letters, Volume 11, Issue 2, December 2026.
Abstract The effectiveness of enhanced efficiency nitrogen fertilizers (EENFs) depends on how well the nitrogen (N) release synchronizes with crop demand. A 2‐year (2024–2025) mesh‐bag study was conducted to quantify N release from six N fertilizer sources under field conditions.

Building a Continental‐Scale Geodetic Network: The Plate Boundary Observatory (PBO)

open access: yesPerspectives of Earth and Space Scientists, Volume 7, Issue 1, December 2026.
Abstract The Plate Boundary Observatory (PBO) transformed the use of geodesy in North America to study crustal deformation and plate boundary processes by establishing a continental‐scale, standardized, open‐access geodetic network. Built and operated by UNAVCO between 2003 and 2018 as part of the National Science Foundation (NSF)‐funded EarthScope ...

Defining High‐Impact AI in Autonomous Shipping: Legal Frameworks, Supply Chain Resilience, and Maritime Safety Dimensions

open access: yesTransportation Journal, Volume 65, Issue 4, Autumn 2026.
ABSTRACT The rapid emergence of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) has made the governance of artificial intelligence systems a question of immediate regulatory urgency. The European Union's Artificial Intelligence Act (2024) and the Republic of Korea's AI Framework Act (2025) are the first two horizontal, binding, risk‐tiered AI statutes in ...
