Crises hipertensivas.

open access: yesActa Médica Portuguesa, 1995
The goal of the accurate treatment of an hypertensive crisis is to reduce the critically elevated blood pressure to a safer level, in an hemodynamic point of view, although not necessarily normal. The authors stress that a prompt and correct diagnosis in distinguishing hypertensive emergencies from urgencies, in understanding its pathophysiology and ...

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Assessing financial vulnerability, an early warning system for emerging markets: Introduction [PDF]

open access: yes
This study analyzes and provides empirical tests of early warning indicators of banking and currency crises in emerging economies. The aim is to identify key empirical regularities in the run-up to banking and currency crises that would enable officials ...

Perspectives in educating molecular pathologists on liquid biopsy: Toward integrative, equitable, and decentralized precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Liquid biopsy enables minimally invasive, real‐time molecular profiling through analysis of circulating biomarkers in biological fluids. This Perspective highlights the importance of training pathologists through integrative educational programs, such as the European Masters in Molecular Pathology, to ensure effective and equitable implementation of ...

L’Irlande : crise économique, crise des valeurs ?

open access: yesRevue LISA / LISA e-journal, 2015
The Republic of Ireland experienced an economic and financial crisis between 2008 and 2013. Since the 1960s, deep structural changes have been implemented and led to the economic boom of the 1990s and 2000s. However the Celtic Tiger may also have changed the system of reference for moral and ethical values, to such an extent that some key contributors ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Theoretical Aspects of Currency Crises [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper presents three generations of theoretical models of currency crises. The models were drawing on the real crises. The first-generation models were developed after balance-of-payment crises in Mexico (1973.82), Argentina (1978.81), and Chile ...

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.
