Identifying the presence of the critical end point in QCD phase diagram by higher order susceptibilities [PDF]

open access: hybrid, 2017
For the first time, we investigate susceptibilities of dense quark matter up to 8th order using an effective model. Generally higher order susceptibilities will have more sign changes and larger magnitude, thus should give more information about the ...

Baryon effects on the location of QCD’s critical end point [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2015
The location of the critical end point of QCD has been determined in previous studies of $N_f=2+1$ and $N_f=2+1+1$ dynamical quark flavors using a (truncated) set of Dyson-Schwinger equations for the quark and gluon propagators of Landau-gauge QCD.

Quark Mass Dependence of the QCD Critical End Point in the Strong Coupling Limit [PDF]

open access: green, 2016
Strong coupling lattice QCD in the dual representation allows to study the full $\mu$-$T$ phase diagram, due to the mildness of the finite density sign problem.

Critical end point in a thermomagnetic nonlocal NJL model [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2017
In this paper, we explore the critical end point in the T − μ phase diagram of a thermomagnetic nonlocal Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model in the weak field limit. We work with the Gaussian regulator, and find that a crossover takes place at μ, B = 0.

Evidence for a critical end point in [111]-stressed RbCaF3 [PDF]

open access: greenJournal de Physique Lettres, 1985
In RbCaF3, a [111] stress σ > σE induces an Ising line separating the pseudo-cubic from the trigonal phase which impinges at finite angle on a first-order boundary to the tetragonal phase. Thus, a critical end point (CEP) occurs sited at σE = 0.10 ± 0.01 kbar and TE = 196.3 ± 0.1 K.

Locating the critical end point using the linear sigma model coupled to quarks [PDF]

open access: diamond, 2017
We use the linear sigma model coupled to quarks to compute the effective potential beyond the mean field approximation, including the contribution of the ring diagrams at finite temperature and baryon density.

Critical end-point and metamagnetic quantum criticality in Sr3Ru2O7

open access: green, 2002
We report a metamagnetic critical point at (B*,T*)=(5.1T,1.1K) for magnetic fields applied perpendicular to the (tetragonal) c-axis of Sr3Ru2O7. First-order behaviour well below T* indicates that (B*,T*) marks a critical end-point that terminates a line of first-order metamagnetic transitions.
