The QCD critical end point in the PNJL model [PDF]
We investigate the role played by the Polyakov loop in the dynamics of the chiral phase transition in the framework of the so-called PNJL model in the SU(2)sector. We present the phase diagram where the inclusion of the Polyakov loop moves the critical points to higher temperatures, compared with the NJL model results.

Field-theoretical analysis of singularities at critical end points [PDF]
Continuum models with critical end points are considered whose Hamiltonian ${\mathcal{H}}[ , ]$ depends on two densities $ $ and $ $. Field-theoretic methods are used to show the equivalence of the critical behavior on the critical line and at the critical end point and to give a systematic derivation of critical-end-point singularities like the ...

Influence of the vector interaction and an external magnetic field on the isentropes near the chiral critical end point [PDF]
The location of the critical end point (CEP) and the isentropic trajectories in the QCD phase diagram are investigated. We use the (2+1) Nambu$-$Jona-Lasinio model with the Polyakov loop coupling for different scenarios, namely by imposing zero strange ...

Indications for a critical end point in the phase diagram for hot and dense nuclear matter. [PDF]
Excitation functions for the Gaussian emission source radii difference (R_{out}^{2}-R_{side}^{2}) obtained from two-pion interferometry measurements in Au+Au (sqrt[s_{NN}]=7.7-200 GeV) and Pb+Pb (sqrt[s_{NN}]=2.76 TeV) collisions are studied for a ...

Critical behaviors near the (tri-)critical end point of QCD within the NJL model [PDF]
We investigate the dynamical chiral symmetry breaking and its restoration at finite density and temperature within the two-flavor Nambu–Jona–Lasinio model, and mainly focus on the critical behaviors near the critical end point (CEP) and tricritical point

Influence of the inverse magnetic catalysis and the vector interaction in the location of the critical end point [PDF]
The effect of a strong magnetic field on the location of the critical end point (CEP) in the QCD phase diagram is discussed under different scenarios. In particular, we consider the contribution of the vector interaction and take into account the inverse

THE NATURE OF THE SOFT EXCITATION AT THE CRITICAL END POINT OF QCD [PDF]
Using a large flavor number expansion and a gap equation for the pion mass the chiral quark-meson model is solved at the lowest order in the fermion contributions. In the chiral limit the tricritical point (TCP) is determined analytically. The softening of the sigma particle is verified at this point and is further investigated for a physical pion mass

Sensitivity of predictions in an effective model: Application to the chiral critical end point position in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model [PDF]
The measurement of the position of the chiral critical end point (CEP) in the QCD phase diagram is under debate. While it is possible to predict its position by using effective models specifically built to reproduce some of the features of the underlying
