Temporal structure in spiking patterns of ganglion cells defines perceptual thresholds in rodents with subretinal prosthesis. [PDF]
Subretinal prostheses are designed to restore sight in patients blinded by retinal degeneration using electrical stimulation of the inner retinal neurons.

Tandem VHH targeting distinct EGFR epitopes were engineered into a monovalent bispecific antibody (7D12‐EGA1‐Fc) with more potent ADCC without increasing affinity to EGFR. Structural modeling of 7D12‐EGA1‐Fc showed cross‐linking of separate EGFR domains to enhance CD16a engagement on NK cells.

On the 1/f Frequency Noise in Ultra-Stable Quartz Oscillators
The frequency flicker of an oscillator, which appears as a 1/f^3 line in the phase noise spectral density, and as a floor on the Allan variance plot, originates from two basic phenomena, namely: (1) the 1/f phase noise turned into 1/f frequency noise via

Millisecond and Binary Pulsars as Nature's Frequency Standards. II. Effects of Low-Frequency Timing Noise on Residuals and Measured Parameters [PDF]
Pulsars are the most stable natural frequency standards. They can be applied to a number of principal problems of modern astronomy and time-keeping metrology. The full exploration of pulsar properties requires obtaining unbiased estimates of the spin and

A Linearized Model for Flicker and Contrast Thresholds at Various Retinal Illuminances [PDF]
We previously proposed a flicker visibility metric for bright displays, based on psychophysical data collected at a high mean luminance. Here we extend the metric to other mean luminances.

Does Time Really Slow Down during a Frightening Event? [PDF]
Observers commonly report that time seems to have moved in slow motion during a life-threatening event. It is unknown whether this is a function of increased time resolution during the event, or instead an illusion of remembering an emotionally salient ...
