Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Critical Phenomena in Nonlinear Sigma Models
We consider solutions to the nonlinear sigma model (wave maps) with target space S^3 and base space 3+1 Minkowski space, and we find critical behavior separating singular solutions from nonsingular solutions.

Critical behavior of rumor propagation on random networks of cliques
We disclose a critical phenomenon induced by structural properties of the contact pattern in a stylized model of rumor propagation over a population of agents.

Critical Dynamics Mediate Learning of New Distributed Memory Representations in Neuronal Networks
We explore the possible role of network dynamics near a critical point in the storage of new information in silico and in vivo, and show that learning and memory may rely on neuronal network features mediated by the vicinity of criticality.

Finite-size scaling of the majority-voter model above the upper critical dimension
The majority-voter model is studied by Monte Carlo simulations on hypercubic lattices of dimension d = 2 to 7 with periodic boundary conditions. The critical exponents associated to the finite-size scaling of the magnetic susceptibility are shown to be ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Black holes pose great difficulties for theory since gravity and quantum theory must be combined in some as yet unknown way. An additional difficulty is that detailed black hole observational data to guide theorists is lacking.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
