On building 4-critical plane and projective plane multiwheels from odd wheels [PDF]

open access: green, 2012
We build unbounded classes of plane and projective plane multiwheels that are 4-critical that are received summing odd wheels as edge sums modulo two. These classes can be considered as ascending from single common graph that can be received as edge sum ...

Critical temperature of two coupled Ising planes [PDF]

open access: greenPhysical Review B, 1995
It is shown that the method proposed by Wosiek [Phys. Rev. B 49, 15 023 (1994)] for the calculation of the order-disorder critical temperature, which turns out to be exact when the critical temperature is determined by symmetry properties like self-duality, is, when applied to a system of two coupled Ising planes, the lowest-order approximation in a ...

The critical point of lattice QCD on the μ-T plane

open access: green, 2001
We propose a method to study lattice QCD at finite temperature and chemical potential. We compare it with direct results and with the Glasgow method by using n_f=4 QCD at Im(μ)\neq 0. We locate the critical endpoint (E) of QCD on the Re(μ)-T plane. In this study we use n_f=2+1 dynamical staggered quarks with semi-realistic masses on L_t=4 lattices.

Critical percolation in the plane [PDF]

open access: green, 2009
We study scaling limits and conformal invariance of critical site percolation on triangular lattice. We show that some percolation-related quantities are harmonic conformal invariants, and calculate their values in the scaling limit. As a particular case we obtain conformal invariance of the crossing probabilities and Cardy's formula.

In-plane uniaxial pressure-induced out-of-plane antiferromagnetic moment and critical fluctuations in BaFe2As2 [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
BaFe2As2 is a parent compound for iron based superconductors, and this has motivated extensive study of its magnetic and electronics properties. Here, using neutron polarisation analysis, the authors demonstrate the critical importance of spin-orbit ...

Correlation between the In-Plane Critical Behavior and Out-of-Plane Interaction of Ternary Lipid Membranes

open access: yesMembranes, 2022
Liquid-liquid phase-separating lipid membranes belong to the 2-D Ising universality class. While their in-plane critical behaviors are well studied, how the behaviors modulate out-of-plane interactions is rarely explored, despite its profound ...

Analysis of Students’ Critical Thinking Skills in Determining Plane Figure Properties

open access: diamondEdumatika, 2022
The plane figure is compulsory mathematics material at all levels of education, including junior high school. However, students still make frequent mistakes in understanding the plane figures' properties.

Off-critical local height probabilities on a plane and critical partition functions on a cylinder

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2018
We compute off-critical local height probabilities in regime-III restricted solid-on-solid models in a 4N-quadrant spiral geometry, with periodic boundary conditions in the angular direction, and fixed boundary conditions in the radial direction, as a ...

An Effective Algorithm For Critical Plane Calculation [PDF]

open access: goldECMS 2025 Proceedings edited by Marco Scarpa, Salvatore Cavalieri, Salvatore Serrano, Fabrizio De Vita
In most engineering applications the structural elements are exposed to multiaxial loading, in which case fatigue life estimations are based on critical plane search. The main drawback of these calculations is the huge computational cost, which can only be reduced by the sacrifice of accuracy.
