Frankfort Mandibular Plane Angle: Critically Appraised Topic (CAT)

Journal of Prosthodontics, 2021
AbstractPurposeThe objective of this Critically Appraised Topic was to determine the level of evidence relative to the usefulness of the Frankfort mandibular plane angle in prosthodontic treatment.Materials and MethodsThe Patient Intervention Comparison Outcome (PICO) mesh heading received zero PubMed references, as did Frankfort Mandibular Plane Angle

Critical Planes in Multiaxial Fatigue

Materials Science Forum, 2005
The paper includes a review of literature on the multiaxial fatigue failure criteria based on the critical plane concept. The criteria were divided into three groups according to the distinguished fatigue damage parameter used in the criterion, i.e. (i) stress, (ii) strain and (iii) strain energy density criteria. Each criterion was described mainly by

Criticality of plane arcs*

Nonlinearity, 2003
Summary: It is proved in the paper that for every \(s\) with \(1\leq s\leq 2\), there exists a plane arc with Hausdorff dimension \(s\) such that the criticality of it is \(1\), i.e., any function \(f: \mathbb{R}^2\to \mathbb{R}\) of class \(C^\beta\) with \(\beta\geq 1\) critical but not constant along the arc must have \(\beta= 1\).

Slip Circles and Critical Shear Planes

Journal of the Geotechnical Engineering Division, 1981
Assuming linear stress distribution, the normal effective stress is determined at the bottom of vertical interslice boundaries along slip circles through an earth slope. A Mohr's circle of stress is constructed for each point, and the slope of the critical shear planes and the factor of safety on these planes are determined.

Critical Plane Analysis of Rubber

2020
Durability is an essential feature of most elastomer products, directly linked to safety and to perceptions of brand quality. Product designers must therefore consider the impact on product durability of typical and abusive end-user loading scenarios. This can be accomplished using critical plane analysis (CPA). CPA starts by acknowledging that a small
