Bandgap Tuning of β‐(AlxGa1‐x)2O3 Nanosheets via Liquid Metal Interface Engineering

Ultrathin β‐(AlxGa1‐x)2O3 nanosheets with controlled composition are synthesized via low‐temperature squeeze‐printing of Al─Ga liquid alloys. Submicrosecond Electric Switching of Large Birefringence in the Isotropic Phase of Ferroelectric Nematics

Advanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate ultra‐fast and efficient electro‐optical switching using the isotropic phase of ferroelectric nematic liquid crystals. A moderate electric field induces a transition to polar ferroelectric nematic order, producing large field‐induced birefringence with sub‐microsecond switch‐on and switch‐off times.
