Critical point theory with weak-to-weak linking

Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, 1998
The author studies a critical point theorem by using the concept of linking of two sets. In particular, the case is examined where neither set is contained in a finite-dimensional manifold. For this, the author has made the requirement that the derivative of the functional has weak-to-weak continuity.

Phenomenological theory near critical points

Physics Letters A, 1968
Abstract Information in the order-parameter correlation function is used to construct a phenomenological theory which agrees with the known critical exponents, includes the effects of large fluctuations, and is valid right up to the critical points.
