DAVIES CRITICAL POINT AND TUNNELING [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2012
From the point of view of tunneling, the physical meaning of the Davies critical point of a second-order phase transition in the black hole thermodynamics is clarified. At the critical point, the nonthermal contribution vanishes so that the black hole radiation is entirely thermal. It separates two phases: one with radiation enhanced by the nonthermal

Landesman-Lazer condition revisited: the influence of vanishing and oscillating nonlinearities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2015
In this paper we deal with semilinear problems at resonance. We present a sufficient condition for the existence of a weak solution in terms of asymptotic properties of nonlinearity.

Solutions of stationary Kirchhoff equations involving nonlocal operators with critical nonlinearity in RN

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2017
In this paper, we consider the existence and multiplicity of solutions for fractional Schrödinger equations with critical nonlinearity in RN. We use the fractional version of Lions' second concentration-compactness principle and concentration-compactness

Are Fertility Preservation Procedures Before Gonadotoxic Therapy and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Feasible and Safe in Very Young Children? A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Fertility preservation (FP) is increasingly integrated into the care of pediatric patients exposed to gonadotoxic therapy or conditioning for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), yet perioperative data in infants and toddlers remain scarce.

Feasibility and Safety of Somato‐Cognitive Coordination Therapy for Cerebellar Ataxia Following Pediatric Brain Tumor Treatment

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cerebellar ataxia after pediatric brain tumor treatment can cause persistent gait, balance, and speech impairment, yet no established rehabilitation strategy exists. Somato‐cognitive coordination therapy (SCCT) is a virtual reality–guided intervention designed to promote sensorimotor integration through visually constrained reaching

Comparison of accelerometry cut points for physical activity and sedentary behavior in pre-school children : a validation study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This study compared accelerometry cut points for sedentary behavior, light and moderate to vigorous intensity activity (MVPA) against a criterion measure, the Children’s Activity Rating Scale (CARS), in preschool children.

Sustained Therapeutic Efficacy of Intravenous Plasminogen Concentrate in Pediatric Patients With Type 1 Plasminogen Deficiency: An Analysis of Dosing Parameters and Clinical Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

Quantum critical points - experiments [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We review experiments on Li(HO,Tb)(p)Y1-pF4 which test ideas about quantum critical phenomena in the clean (ferromagnetic) and disordered (spin glass) limits. The outstanding problem of the 'anti-glass' discovered for p=0.045 is also described.

Electrostatic Potential Topology for Probing Molecular Structure, Bonding and Reactivity

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Following the pioneering investigations of Bader on the topology of molecular electron density, the topology analysis of its sister field viz. molecular electrostatic potential (MESP) was taken up by the authors’ groups.
