Flow in a Channel with a Second-Order Fluid Under Transverse Flow Conditions [PDF]
We examine the linear stability of a second-order fluid flow between two parallel, porous plates, with uniform transverse flow. An analytical approach was developed to obtain the base solution for stationary flows of a slightly viscoelastic fluid, which ...

Evolution of Physical Intelligence Across Scales
By following the evolution of physical intelligence across scales, this article shows how intelligence arises from materials, structures, physical interactions, and collectives. It establishes physical intelligence as the evolutionary foundation upon which embodied intelligence is built.

Segmented Therapeutic Delivery via Acoustic Microbubble Relay
An acoustically driven, modular segmented delivery system is presented to overcome mechanical limitations of conventional microcatheters. Oscillating microbubbles generate directional streaming that enables continuous, targeted transport across open, angled segments.

Asymmetric Whisker‐Inspired Sensor Pairs for Enhanced Airflow Sensing on Drones
This work incorporates asymmetric cross‐sections into a whisker‐inspired sensor pair to enhance airflow sensing. By comparing signals between two offset asymmetric whiskers, the system improves flow heading estimation and identifies the presence of fan‐generated wind during quadrotor flight.

An AI‐enabled micromixing framework is developed by integrating cGAN with Bayesian optimization for predictive control of microrobot‐driven flow manipulation. Through this framework, the spatiotemporal evolution of micromixing is learned directly from experimental images, while rapid identification of optimized microrobot actuation strategies is ...

The Politics of Framing the Student Problem: Inquiries Into Australian Civics Education, 2006–2024
ABSTRACT Recurring debates about civics, the kinds of history that should, and should not, be taught in school, and ‘standards debates’ about the ‘basics’ typically follow on the heels of recurring moral panics about the ‘declining’ state of ‘our’ education system.

‘Shelter is a Dignity’: Rental Racism, Stress and Housing (In)justice
ABSTRACT Australia's private rental sector is in crisis, and culturally and racially minoritised renters face compounded harms through both covert and everyday direct forms of rental racism. Drawing on five community‐based focus groups in Melbourne (n = 37), the paper explores how racism manifests across the rental pathway and how it structures the ...

A Response-Limit Interpretation of the Critical Reynolds Number
Introduction I am a Professional Engineer with 46 years of experience in energy systems, modelling, and design. I study how fundamental constants and particle behaviour can arise from geometric coherence. All work is freely available with DOI. The work is not proposed as a competing alternative to existing theories.

ON THE HYSTERESIS OF THE DRAG OF A SPHERE IN THE CRITICAL REYNOLDS NUMBER RANGE
The characteristics of an air flow around a sphere were investigated by means of the measurement of drag and pressure distribution and by the surface oil-flow method in the Reynolds number range from 105 to 4×105. A hysteresis loop was found in the drag coefficient - Re curve and also in the pressure coefficient - Re curve at the critical Reynolds ...
