Numerical Analysis and Optimization of a Continuous‐Flow pH‐TRC for Steady‐State Low‐Grade Waste Heat Recovery

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A steady‐state numerical model is established for a continuous‐flow pH‐TRC for low‐grade waste heat recovery. Based on carbonate and bicarbonate electrolytes, the influences of operating conditions and electrode structure on pH‐driven power generation are clarified.

The Power to Care for Oneself: Power Increases Self‐Compassion

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Social Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sense of power and self‐compassion both impact important intrapsychic and interpersonal outcomes. However, how powerholders treat themselves when experiencing failure or personal setbacks is unclear. We propose that powerholders are more apt than their lower‐power counterparts to exhibit self‐compassion when faced with difficulties. Across six

A study of chevron type plate design on pressure drop and friction factor of brazed plate heat exchanger

open access: yesEnvironmental Progress &Sustainable Energy, EarlyView.
Abstract Brazed plate heat exchanger (BPHE) was analyzed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations by ANSYS Fluent to investigate the chevron‐patterned plates. The influence of geometric parameters, including corrugation pitch, depth, and angle was analyzed.

A prospective natural history study protocol for clinical trial readiness in synaptic disorders

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective STXBP1‐related disorder (STXBP1‐RD) and SYNGAP1‐related disorder (SYNGAP1‐RD) are two common genetic synaptopathies that are associated with epilepsy, developmental delay, intellectual developmental disorder, and behavioral problems.

Monthly or menstrual? A scoping review of catamenial epilepsy and non‐menstrual seizure rhythms

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Despite the reported high prevalence of catamenial epilepsy (CE), the condition remains poorly defined, with lack of consensus on what entails a menstrual‐related seizure exacerbation. Emerging evidence of multiday cycles of seizure activity, including about‐monthly cycles, present in both men and women, further confound the ...
