Human Capital Robotic Integration and Value Creation for Organizations

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Due to rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning, the research conversation has drifted from viewing robots as replacements for humans (i.e., the substitute view) to a view that considers the possible benefits of human–robot collaboration in the workplace (i.e., the complementary view).

Disk Growth in Bulge-Dominated Galaxies: Molecular Gas and Morphological Evolution

open access: yes, 2007
Substantial numbers of morphologically regular early-type (elliptical and lenticular) galaxies contain molecular gas, and the quantities of gas are probably sufficient to explain recent estimates of the current level of star formation activity.

Ten‐year outcomes of combined ACLR and lateral extra‐articular tenodesis: A systematic review

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This systematic review evaluates long‐term outcomes after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) with lateral extra‐articular tenodesis (LET), including patient‐reported outcome measures (PROMs), failure rates, objective knee scores and radiographic osteoarthritis (OA).

Positron Annihilation in the Nuclear Outflows of the Milky Way

open access: yes, 2017
Observations of soft gamma rays emanating from the Milky Way from SPI/\textit{INTEGRAL} reveal the annihilation of $\sim2\times10^{43}$ positrons every second in the Galactic bulge.

On the origin of the central 1" hole in the stellar disk of Sgr A* and the Fermi gamma-ray bubbles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The supermassive black hole Sgr A* at the center of the Galaxy is surrounded by two misaligned disks of young, massive stars extending from ~0.04 to 0.4 pc. The stellar surface density increases as ~ r^-2 towards Sgr A* but is truncated within 1" (0.04pc)

A Question of Trust: Dynamics of the Perceived Uncertainty–Trust Dilemma With Artificial Intelligence in Strategy Process Initiation

open access: yesManagerial and Decision Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Strategists who must identify issues in uncertain environments while being cognitively constrained can increasingly rely on artificial intelligence to manage uncertainty. The potential for AI to be incorporated into strategy processes has led to a debate about the evolving collaborative relationship between strategists and AI.

The Differential Impact of Emotional Support on Social Problem‐Solving and Mental Health Among Latina Immigrant Survivors of Adverse Childhood Experiences

open access: yesResearch in Nursing &Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are often positively associated with mental health conditions. We examined whether emotional support attenuates the association between ACE clusters and both social problem solving and mental health assessments (depression, anxiety, post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms).

Development and Validation of the Prosocial Behavior in School Scale

open access: yesPsychology in the Schools, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study reports on the development, factor structure, and validity indicators of the Prosocial Behavior in School Scale (PBSS) among 4264 sixth‐ to eighth‐grade students in the United States. The final PBSS is a 12‐item self‐report measure of students' prosocial behavior in a specific classroom.

The effects of environment on the intrinsic shape of galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We measure the effect of the environment on the intrinsic shapes of spiral and elliptical galaxies by finding the 3D shape distribution and dust extinction that fits better the projected shape of galaxies in different environment.

Designing “Korean” Kimchi: Speculative Configuration of Distance and Commodity Value in the Chinese Kimchi Industry

open access: yesEconomic Anthropology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the Chinese kimchi industry, manufacturers employ product names, photographs, and logistical strategies to promote their kimchi's “Koreanness.” So, what makes their kimchi “Korean,” and how does its Koreanness formulate kimchi's commodity value?
