The effect of seawater hardness on cotton fabric dyeing using reactive blue dye
Abstract Oceans are an abundant source of water; their economic potential has not yet been fully exploited. In this context, the current study aims to apply seawater in the dyeing of cotton fabrics, evaluating the influence that total hardness has on the process results.

Fermi Bubbles in the Milky Way: the closest AGN feedback laboratory courtesy of Sgr A*?
Deposition of a massive ($10^4$ to $10^5 \msun$) giant molecular cloud (GMC) into the inner parsec of the Galaxy is widely believed to explain the origin of over a hundred unusually massive young stars born there $\sim 6$ Myr ago.

Textile and colour defect detection using deep learning methods
Abstract Recent advances in deep learning (DL) have significantly enhanced the detection of textile and colour defects. This review focuses specifically on the application of DL‐based methods for defect detection in textile and coloration processes, with an emphasis on object detection and related computer vision (CV) tasks.

The Galactic Center Black Hole Laboratory
The super-massive 4 million solar mass black hole Sagittarius~A* (SgrA*) shows flare emission from the millimeter to the X-ray domain. A detailed analysis of the infrared light curves allows us to address the accretion phenomenon in a statistical way ...

Background Support for violent and non‐violent radicalization co‐exists in some, but not all, adolescents. Yet, little is known about how adolescents transition towards or away from violent and/or non‐violent radicalization over time. ABSTRACT Academic Summary This research examines whether and how a firm's sustainable image increases customer co‐creation in new product development (NPD). Across four studies, two scenario‐based experiments (Study 1a: n = 184; Study 2a: n = 285) and two behavior‐based idea contests (Study 1b: n = 197; Study 2b: n = 396), this article evaluates ...

Universal two-step crystallization of DNA-functionalized nanoparticles
We examine the crystallization dynamics of nanoparticles reversibly tethered by DNA hybridization. We show that the crystallization happens readily only in a narrow temperature "slot," and always proceeds via a two-step process, mediated by a highly ...
