Crop coefficients for peanut evapotranspiration
Agricultural Water Management, 1988Abstract Meteorological and soil moisture data were collected from field sites in Caddo County, Oklahoma, during the 1984 and 1985 irrigation seasons. Analysis of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) water use data enabled calibration of the modified Penman equation for reference crop evapotranspiration ( et ).

Crop Coefficients for Drip-irrigated Processing Tomatoes
2004, Ottawa, Canada August 1 - 4, 2004, 2004Efficient management of drip irrigation systems requires reasonable estimates of crop evapotranspiration (ET), normally calculated as the product of a crop coefficient and a reference crop ET. However, a review of literature revealed mid-season crop coefficients of processing tomatoes to range from 1.10 to 1.25.

Crop Coefficients of Some Selected Crops of Andhra Pradesh
Journal of The Institution of Engineers (India): Series A, 2015Precise information on crop coefficients for estimating crop evapotranspiration (ETc) for regional scale irrigation planning is a major impediment in many regions. Crop coefficients suggested based on lysimeter data by earlier investigators have to be locally calibrated to account for the differences in the crop canopy under given climatic conditions ...

Can crop coefficients improve the economics of irrigated crops?
Acta Horticulturae, 2017Climate and market conditions together with water policies have a large impact on agricultural water use. Evapotranspiration (ET) accounts for most of the water loss from a well-managed, irrigated crop, and the crop coefficient (Kc) method is widely used to estimate ET.

Use of Crop Canopy Size to Estimate Crop Coefficient for Vegetable Crops
World Environmental and Water Resource Congress 2006, 2006Planting time, plant density, variety, and cultural practices vary widely for horticultural crops. It is difficult to estimate a basal crop coefficient that can incorporate these variations. Canopy cover, as an indicator of intercepted sunlight, is related to crop water use.

Forage Sorghum Evapotranspiration and Crop Coefficients
5th National Decennial Irrigation Conference Proceedings, 5-8 December 2010, Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, Arizona USA, 2010Forage sorghum, especially brown mid rib (BMR) hybrids, offers attractive silage options in place of corn and has excellent ethanol conversions compared with other forage sorghums. The purpose of the study was to measure the evapotranspiration (ET), yield, forage quality, and water use efficiency of a fully irrigated BMR forage sorghum hybrid grown for

Revising Crop Coefficient for Washington Sate
2013 Kansas City, Missouri, July 21 - July 24, 2013, 2013Abstract. Water shortages are expected to increase in the future due to the need to grow crops to feed a growing population, the increasing production of bio fuel crops, the desire to protect and restore waterways for fish, the competition for water among different sectors, and water shortages due to climate change effects.

Crop Coefficients for Arizona Landscape Trees
5th National Decennial Irrigation Conference Proceedings, 5-8 December 2010, Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, Arizona USA, 2010Water use of many landscape plants is not only a factor of how much water a plant needs, but rather how much it receives. Previous research has found that desert-adapted trees such as live oak, once thought to be a low water user, will readily consume several times the quantity of water considered necessary for such a plant.

YIELD-BASED, IRRIGATED ONION CROP COEFFICIENTS
Applied Engineering in Agriculture, 1999Irrigation scheduling is one of the most important tools for developing best management practices (BMPs) for irrigated projects. Proper irrigation scheduling results in the high irrigation water use efficiencies necessary to conserve limited water resources. Information about crop coefficient (Kc), daily reference evapotranspiration (Eto), and daily

Irrigation crop coefficients for lowland rice
Irrigation and Drainage Systems, 1994Meteorological and lysimetric data for a period of nine years were used to develop crop coefficients for rice grown under lowland conditions in a sub-humid tropical climate in India. The estimated crop coefficients were found to be higher than those values recommended by FAO.
