Irrigation Crop Coefficients for Illinois Corn
Transactions of the ASAE, 1989ABSTRACT Optimum scheduling of irrigations reduces costs, conserves water and reduces the likelihood of water quality problems. Crop coefficients are required for the estimation of daily crop evapotranspiration (ET) that is needed to schedule irrigations. Most crop coefficients have been developed in the Western U.S.

Determination of Crop Coefficient of Tea
Journal of Agricultural Engineering (India), 2009Crop coefficient of tea was determined based on evapo-transpiration data (1996-2001) using weighing type lysimeter. Weekly reference crop evapotranspiration (ETo) was worked out for the same period by FAO Penman–Monteith (FAO 56-PM) equation using daily meteorological data.

Advances in Water Resources, 2016
Abstract The crop-water production function quantitatively evaluates the relationship between seasonal water use and crop yield and is used to evaluate optimal irrigation depth and assess the potential of deficit and supplemental irrigation. A simple and easily applicable methodology to develop crop- and region-specific crop-water production ...

Water use efficiency and crop coefficients of dry season oilseed crops
Agricultural Water Management, 2007Abstract Eastern India receives higher average annual rainfall (1000–2000 mm) but 80% of it occurs within the June–September (rainy season), whereas the winter season (November–March) is dry. Due to a shortage of soil moisture, most rainfed areas of the region remain fallow during the winter season and cultivation (mainly rice) is confined to the ...

A method widely used for irrigation management determines crop evapotranspiration (ETc) from reference evapotranspiration (ETo) calculations and estimated crop coefficients. However, standard time-based crop coefficients may fail to represent the actual crop water use, for example, when deviations in weather or agronomic constraints appreciably change ...

Climate effect on crop coefficients
2014Crop coefficient (Kc) values are commonly used by agronomists and engineers to estimate well-watered crop evapotranspiration (ETc) as: Kc=EToKc, where ETo is a measure of evaporative demand that is estimated from weather data collected over a large grass field using the standardized reference evapotranspiration for short canopies (ETo) equation.

CROP EVAPOTRANSPIRATION AND CROP COEFFICIENTS OF VIBURNUM ODORATISSIMUM (KER.-GAWL)
Applied Engineering in Agriculture, 2005Determination of irrigation requirements of nursery plants is becoming more important as the nursery growers are being challenged to conserve water and minimize runoff while meeting plant water needs. Historically, not enough attention has been given to the measurement of crop evapotranspiration (ETc) and crop coefficients (Kc) of ornamental plants ...
