Abstract Raspberries are widely known and grown around the world. In general, raspberries prefer a temperate climate in which they receive winter chilling, and while dormant most cultivars are very tolerant of cold temperatures to -20°C (-4°F) or lower. Raspberries tolerate a wide range of soils, but prefer medium textured soils.
