Estimation of reference crop evapotranspiration of barley using cropwat model in Punjab

Agricultural Research Journal, 2018
Reference crop evapotranspiration (ETo) of barley during Rabi 2016–17 for Gurdaspur and Ludhiana regions of Punjab was computed by CROPWAT model. Seasonal mean reference crop evapotranspiration was relatively higher for Ludhiana (2.74 mm day−1) as compared to Gurdaspur (2.17 mm day−1) region.

Climate variability impact on reference crop evapotranspiration computed using cropwat model

Agricultural Research Journal, 2018
Current study attempts to analyze the sensitivity of reference evapotranspiration (ETo) computed using CROPWAT model in central Punjab. Ludhiana experiences mean annual ETo of 3.98±0.19mm/day, which is decreasing at the rate of 0.1mm/day/decade. Highest mean monthly ETo of 6.94±0.49mm/day is observed in June and lowest of 1.54±0.19mm/day is observed ...

Using earth observation data and CROPWAT model to estimate the actual crop evapotranspiration

Physics and Chemistry of the Earth, Parts A/B/C, 2010
Abstract The aim of this paper is to estimate and compare the daily actual evapotranspiration (ETc) for the maize crop, using Earth Observation data and the CROPWAT model, in the agrometeorological conditions of Romania. For the purpose of this paper, the CROPWAT model was run for the specific weather conditions of the year 2000, at two test-areas ...

Evaluation of the Impacts of Climate Change on Irrigation Requirements of Maize by CROPWAT Model

Gesunde Pflanzen, 2022
In the presented study, the eventual effects of climate change on maize farming under Mediterranean climatic conditions were investigated by CROPWAT Model. Irrigation scheduling and determining water requirements are of great importance in adapting the climate change.

Management of irrigation requirements using FAO-CROPWAT 8.0 model: A case study of Egypt

Modeling Earth Systems and Environment, 2021
In the context of defining agroecological zones and managing available water resources efficiently. The FAO-CROPWAT 8.0 model was used to estimate reference evapotranspiration (ETo) and net irrigation water requirements (NIR) for the major cultivated crops in Egypt (wheat, dry beans, potatoes, sugar beet, berseem clover, maize, tomato, cotton, sugar ...

Estimation of Crop Water Requirement of Sweet corn crop using CROPWAT 8.0 model

Madras Agricultural Journal
Most of the crops are watered through traditional methods of irrigation, which leads to wastage of water. The Crop Water Requirement (CWR) is necessary to design the irrigation system, which is the total quantity of water required for the crop from sowing to harvest.Optimization of water applied to the crop is essential as the yields of the crop are ...
