Ultrasonic imaging using two dimensional cross-correlation function
1998 IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium. Proceedings (Cat. No. 98CH36102), 2002Conventional imaging techniques make the assumption that each scatterer is a source of a spherical wave propagating with a constant velocity towards the transducer array. Then, the processing reduces to the recognition of each of these spherical waves.

Analysis of cross-correlation functions of cortical unit activity
Neuroscience and Behavioral Physiology, 19821. Analysis of forms of cross-correlograms of activity of adjacent cerebral cortical neurons shows that about 85% of extreme on these graphs are symmetrically arranged relative to the origin of coordinates and that their mean width is about 30 msec. It is suggested that the main factor determining the relatively high and stable level of coordination

Noise source identification based on measurements of cross-correlation functions
Quality Measurement: The Indispensable Bridge between Theory and Reality (No Measurements? No Science! Joint Conference - 1996: IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference and IMEKO Technical Committee 7. Conference Proceedings, 2002In this paper an original measurement procedure is proposed to identify the spatial coordinates of broadband sound sources present in a given space. The method yields a visual image of the source distribution. This image is based on statistical source probabilities, derived from a small number of correlation functions.

Comparison of optical and digital cross-correlation functions
Annual Meeting Optical Society of America, 1987A digital waveform synthesizer driven by a BBC microcomputer has been used to generate both the forward and time-reversed signal inputs required for twin Bragg cell space-integrating correlators. The cross-correlation functions of the two signals have also been computed digitally, and the optical and digital correlation are compared.

Bounds on the Cross-Correlation Functions of State m-Sequences
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1987Summary: The performance of the periodic Hamming correlation function of the sequences of states of m-sequence simple linear feedback shift register generators is evaluated. We call these sequences state m-sequences. Theoretical lower and upper bounds on the peaks of the Hamming cross- correlation functions of those sequences, which are often used in ...

Cross-correlation function of a bandpass nonlinear network
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1976Memoryless nonlinear distortion of one of two Gaussian signals, x(t) and y(t), does not induce a change in the shape of the cross-correlation function ϕ xy (τ) as a function of τ (Price's theorem). A similar theorem holds for a network consisting of a cascade of three elements: a linear circuit L 1 , a memoryless nonlinear device NL, and a second ...

Generalised cross-correlation functions for image processing applications
7th International Conference on Image Processing and its Applications, 1999The previously introduced generalised cross-correlation, (GCC), function makes it possible to model spatial or temporal displacements which are smooth functions of position in contrast to conventional cross-correlation where such displacements are constants.

Physical Significance of Cross-Correlation and Coherence Functions
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1974The basic principles of cross-correlation and cross-spectral density functions, along with the correlation coefficient and coherence functions derived from them, are briefly reviewed and discussed in the context of noise control problems. Although theoretically related (correlation and spectral density functions are Fourier transform pairs), one form ...

RNA Sequences Similarities Analysis by Cross-Correlation Function
2018According to concept of dinucleotide, this paper proposes a graphical representation of dinucleotide. In this way, the graphical representation can not only show sequence one-to-one, but also can be easily converted into the original sequence.
