Versatile DNA Hydrogel‐Mediated Delivery of Ginsenoside‐Encapsulated Small Extracellular Vesicles to Boost Diabetic Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a DNA hydrogel‐mediated delivery system, in which ginsenoside (GS) molecules are incorporated into small extracellular vesicles (sEV) secreted by mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and the formed complexes are then anchored in DNA hydrogels via aptamer‐CD63 affinity as “GS/sEV@DNAgels”, to improve diabetic wound repair.

Biopolymer Elasticity

open access: yes, 2003
In recent years molecular elasticity has emerged as an active area of research: there are experiments that probe mechanical properties of single biomolecules such as DNA and Actin, with a view to understanding the role of elasticity of these polymers in ...

Integrating Cooperative Dual Active Sites Onto a Plasmonic Photocatalyst for Synergistic Promotion of the Reduction and Oxidation Half‐Reactions in Ammonia Synthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An efficient N2 fixation photocatalyst, Ru‐WO3−x/CoOx, is prepared by integrating respective reduction and oxidation sites onto a plasmonic semiconductor. Owing to optimized reaction kinetics and promoted charge carrier separation by the synergistic effect between the two types of active sites, the involved reduction and oxidation half‐reactions are ...

Exploring requisites and antecedents of continuous innovation. [PDF]

open access: yes
When innovating, an organization needs to be capable of (1) exploring problem definition spaces and (2) exploiting them. The processes in which both activities unfold, display paradoxical characteristics which can be addressed by adopting ambidextrous ...

Additive and Partially Dominant Effects from Genomic Variation Contribute to Rice Heterosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Additive and partially dominant effects, namely at mid‐parent levels or values between mid‐parent and parental levels, respectively, are the predominant inheritance patterns of heterosis‐associated molecules. These two genetic effects contribute to heterosis of agronomic traits in both rice and maize, as well as biomass heterosis in Arabidopsis ...

Electrochemical Nitrate Reduction Reaction to Ammonia at Industrial‐Level Current Densities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review starts from the mechanism and theoretical basis of electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction (NO3−RR), and systematically summarizes and discusses the design strategies of industrial‐level current density catalysts. In addition, the progress of industrial‐level NO3−RR‐based electrolyzers, including flow reactor and membrane electrode ...

Climate Change Agricultural Comparative Advantage and the US Trade Balance

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current science indicates that warming and elevated atmospheric CO2 will have ambiguous results for crop productivity depending on crop type and geographic location, whereas increased heat stress makes livestock and human labor less productive.
