ENTANGLEMENT CONCENTRATION WITH CROSS-KERR NONLINEARITY

International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2014
We propose a protocol for realizing two entanglement concentration scheme with cross-Kerr nonlinearity and double cross-phase modulation method. In our protocols, two remote parties do not require the accurate information of the less entangled state and the double cross-phase modulation is introduced to overcome the errors caused by the imperfect Kerr

Bypassing dynamic reciprocity via a chiral cross-Kerr nonlinearity

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2022
The optical Kerr nonlinearity can't be used to achieve on-chip optical nonreciprocity because of dynamic reciprocity. Here, we propose a chiral cross-Kerr nonlinearity to bypass dynamic reciprocity and to achieve all-optical nonreciprocity on a chip.

Enhancing optical delay using cross-Kerr nonlinearity in Rydberg atoms

Applied Optics, 2020
A scheme to enhance the optical delay in Rydberg atoms is proposed. In the linear case, the optical delay in a four-level system can be significantly enhanced compared to that of the three-level system. However, the width of the transparent window will decrease with an increase in the optical delay.

Dicke state generation using cross-Kerr nonlinearity

Journal of Modern Optics, 2011
In this paper, we propose two ways of Dicke state generation using single photons and weak coherent pulse resorting to Kerr nonlinearities. By interference of two coherent beams, the Dicke state are realized in polarization and photon number degrees of freedom.

Enhanced photon-phonon cross-Kerr nonlinearity with two-photon driving

Optics Letters, 2018
We propose a scheme to significantly enhance the cross-Kerr (CK) nonlinearity between photons and phonons in a quadratically coupled optomechanical system (OMS) with two-photon driving. This CK nonlinear enhancement originates from the parametric-driving-induced squeezing and the underlying nonlinear optomechanical interaction.

Complete Quantum Teleportation with a Crossed-Kerr Nonlinearity

2006
We show how perfect Bell-state discrimination and complete quantum teleportation of the polarization state of a photon can he implemented employing a cross-Kerr medium. We show that, using the recently demonstrated ultraslow light propagation in coherent atomic media, the proposal can be realized with presently available technology.

Entanglement generation with coherent light via cross-Kerr-nonlinearity

SPIE Proceedings, 2007
We propose a scheme for generating entangled states of light fields. This scheme only requires the cross-Kerr nonlinear interaction between coherent light-beams, followed by a homodyne detection. Therefore, this scheme is within the reach of current technology.

Entanglement generation with coherent states using cross-Kerr nonlinearity

Journal of the Optical Society of America B, 2013
We propose methods for generating Bell-type entangled coherent states for quantum information processing. The protocols are completed using linear optical elements, single-photon detectors, and cross-Kerr nonlinearity. We investigate the decoherence effect on our protocols; photon loss is found to affect only the probability, not the fidelity, of the ...
