Predicting habitat suitability of selected Meloidae species and future potential refugia: A case study from inner Western Anatolia

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Consensus habitat‐suitability maps identify current hotspots of species richness across the Inner Western Anatolian mountain systems. Late‐century projections (2081–2100) under SSP2‐4.5 and SSP5‐8.5 show range shifts and changing richness patterns, intensifying at higher elevations.

Multi‐Modal AI Approach in Depression Detection and Treatment: A Systematic Review of Last Decade

open access: yesWIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Volume 16, Issue 3, September 2026.
Overview of multimodal approaches for depression detection and treatment. ABSTRACT Depression is a common and devastating mental health illness with serious personal and societal consequences. Despite advancing treatment techniques, there are still hurdles in the effective diagnosis and treatment of depression, such as prompt diagnosis, personalized ...

Digital Twin of a One‐Sun‐Driven Luminescent‐Concentrator‐Assisted Planar Solar‐Pumped Fiber Laser

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 30, 14 August 2026.
An experimentally‐validated digital twin of a one‐sun solar‐pumped fiber laser enables a design exhibit 13‐times higher output power at 1064 nm to be achieved. Despite its simple appearance, the multitude of choices in the design parameters make finding this improved very tedious in the lab, thus the digital twin can save significant time and effort ...

Cavity magnomechanics: from classical to quantum

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
Hybrid quantum systems based on magnons in magnetic materials have made significant progress in the past decade. They are built based on the couplings of magnons with microwave photons, optical photons, vibration phonons, and superconducting qubits.

Field‐Free Spin‐Splitting‐Torque Driven Stochastic Neuron Mimicking the Neuromorphic Imagination for High‐Performance Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 44, 7 August 2026.
The human brain's imagination, which enables autonomous driving hazard avoidance by completing missing visual information, relies on Gaussian‐stochastic neuron. We report the altermagnetic RuO2 spintronic neurons integrating field‐free switching and intrinsic Gaussian stochasticity, building an all‐spin ANN for high‐quality image repairing and high ...

Non-Gaussian state preparation and enhancement using weak-value amplification

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information
We introduce a protocol for generating non-Gaussian (nG) states via postselected weak measurement. The scheme involves injecting an arbitrary quantum state and a single photon into the signal and idler ports of an interferometer with a third-order ...

Octave‐Spanning, Deterministic Single Soliton Generation in 4H‐Silicon Carbide‐On‐Insulator Microring Resonators

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, Volume 20, Issue 15, 7 August 2026.
The miniaturization of metrology and precision spectroscopy systems requires robust, turn‐key microcombs with broad bandwidth, low threshold, and high efficiency. Here, high‐Q, dispersion‐engineered microresonators in a high‐confinement nonlinear SiC platform, combined with waveguide‐enabled thermal management and laser cooling, enable deterministic ...

Perturbative Analytical Construction of Bowen–York Initial Data for Binary Black Holes up to Third Order in Spin and Linear Momentum

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We analytically construct initial data for binary black hole systems by solving the Einstein constraint equations within the Bowen–York framework. Allowing for arbitrarily oriented linear momenta and spins, we obtain a perturbative solution of the vacuum Hamiltonian constraint up to third order in the source parameters. Our solution explicitly

Boundary‐Only Weak Deflection by Regular Black Holes, Black‐Bounces, Wormholes, and Static Quadrupolar Spacetimes

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We apply the boundary‐only isothermal formulation of finite‐distance weak gravitational deflection to regular black holes, black‐bounces, traversable wormholes, non‐asymptotically flat backgrounds, and static quadrupolar spacetimes. The methodological advance is not a new value for a known bending angle.
