SmmaryA double-blind cross-over clinical trial of naftidrofuryl (‘Praxilene,’) is described in a group of 24 elderly subjects with severe intellectual impairment, using a simple psychometric test to assess mental function and behaviour. Significant improvement in intellectual function occurred with the drug and this effect was prolonged.

Abstract In a cross‐over study on 6 healthy volunteers, the serum concentrations and the bioavailability of 16 oral phenoxymethylpenicillin preparations have been compared. The dissolution rates of the tablets and capsules were studied. The preparations included 5 aquous solutions, 7 tablets or capsules, and 4 suspensions.

The effect of a new physical treatment modality, Vacusac, was tested on a group of patients with stable intermittent claudication.Twenty‐two patients with a median age of 65 years and a median duration of intermittent claudication of 5 years were randomized to either active or placebo treatments.
