Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Pollen limitation and dependence on cross-pollination in borage (Borago officinalis L.) in the Pampas region of Argentina

open access: yesJournal of Pollination Ecology
Borago officinalis L. is an insect-pollinated crop valued for its seed oil. While described as self-compatible, the extent to which its reproductive success depends on pollinator-mediated cross-pollination and whether it experiences pollen limitation in

From Lab to Landscape: Environmental Biohybrid Robotics for Ecological Futures

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This Perspective explores environmental biohybrid robotics, integrating living tissues, microorganisms, and insects for operation in real‐world ecosystems. It traces the leap from laboratory experiments to forests, wetlands, and urban environments and discusses key challenges, development pathways, and opportunities for ecological monitoring and ...

Malectin Alleviates Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus via Glycoprotein Quality Control Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Malectin alleviates high glucose‐induced ER stress and damage in placental trophoblasts, a function dependent on its six critical carbohydrate‐binding residues. In a GDM mouse model, administration of TAT‐Malectin ameliorated hyperglycemia and placental ER stress and prevented fetal macrosomia.

The kind of pollination and ability to parthenocarpy of pepino (Solanum muricatum Ait.)

open access: yesFolia Horticulturae, 2008
The objective of the research was to assess a grade of parthenocarpic fruit and fruitsetting following cross-pollination and self-pollination in pepino plants (Solanum muricatum Ait.).

A Pollen‐Enhanced Bionic Mechanoreceptor Induced by Asymmetric Ionic Convection in Hydrogel for Sensory‐Augmented Prostheses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work proposed a pollen‐enhanced bionic mechanoreceptor based on ionic convection. Leveraging the ion anchoring effect of the pollen particle, the output performance could be ∼12 times higher than the original state. By employing deep learning models as AI brains, the feasibility of a sensory‐augmented prosthesis consisting of a pollen‐enhanced ...

Pollination Strategies to Improve Fruit Set in Orchards of ‘Manzanilloʼ Olive in a Nontraditional Producing Country, Mexico

open access: yesHortTechnology, 2019
In countries new to producing ‘Manzanillo’ olive trees (Olea europaea), free cross-pollination is often insufficient to obtain high levels of fruit set. An appropriate pollination design is therefore essential to ensure a timely, abundant, and compatible

Comparative Oligo‐FISH Mapping Illuminates Chromosomal Evolution Among Rutaceae Species Diverged Over 50 Million Years

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Oligonucleotide‐based fluorescence in situ hybridization probes were developed in the model citrus species Citrus maxima. These probes were applied to comparative karyotyping across 14 species in the Rutaceae family. This analysis revealed chromosomal evolution in lineages that diverged from Citrus nearly 52 million years ago.

POLLINATION AND CYTOLOGICAL STUDIES ON THREE APRICOT (Prunus armeniaca L.) CULTIVARS. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Plant Production, 2005
The present investigation was carried out during the two successive seasons of 2002 and 2003 on mature trees of Canino, Amal and Perfection three apricot cultivars. The pollination treatments used in this study were as follows:(1-)Open pollination.
