Nonlinear dynamical analysis of GNSS data: quantification, precursors and synchronisation
The goal of any nonlinear dynamical analysis of a data series is to extract features of the dynamics of the underlying physical and chemical processes that produce that spatial pattern or time series; a by-product is to characterise the signal in terms ...

Cross recurrence plot analysis based method for TDOA estimation of underwater acoustic signals [PDF]
In this paper, we propose to use cross recurrence plot analysis (CRPA) to estimate the time-difference of arrival (TDOA) of underwater acoustic signals arriving on an array of hydrophones. Instead of considering the signal as a whole to estimate the TDOA, like classical methods do, we first detected the series of samples that look alike on each pair of

Exploring dynamic structures of dyadic conversations using categorical cross recurrence quantification analysis: A tutorial [PDF]
Social interactions are defined by the dynamic and reciprocal exchange of information in a process referred to as mutual alignment. Statistical methods for characterizing alignment between two interacting partners are emerging.

In the study of synchronization dynamics between interacting systems, several techniques are available to estimate coupling strength and coupling direction. Currently, there is no general ‘best’ method that will perform well in most contexts.

This paper presents an improved cross recurrence quantitative analysis (CRQA) method for bearing degradation evaluation. It extracts CRQA variable from bearings' vibration signals to establish the degradation trend.

Background: The success of immunotherapy for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) suggests that immune dysregulation occurs in HCC patients. This warrants an immuno-oncological risk assessment in the platform of liver transplantation.

Analyzing Social Interactions: The Promises and Challenges of Using Cross Recurrence Quantification Analysis [PDF]
The scientific investigation of social interactions presents substantial challenges: interacting agents engage each other at many different levels and timescales (motor and physiological coordination, joint attention, linguistic exchanges, etc.), often making their behaviors interdependent in non-linear ways.

Robust audio hashing scheme based on cochleagram and cross recurrence analysis
A robust hashing method based on computer‐vision techniques is proposed as an improvement to the existing computer‐vision based hashing scheme. The cochleagram of the audio is treated as an image, from which Speeded Up Robust Features are extracted as essential features. Non‐negative matrix factorisation is used to reduce the features’ dimension.

Radiogenomics analysis identifies correlations of digital mammography with clinical molecular signatures in breast cancer. [PDF]
In breast cancer, well-known gene expression subtypes have been related to a specific clinical outcome. However, their impact on the breast tissue phenotype has been poorly studied.
