[Antitumor cross-resistance of trichinosis].
Voprosy onkologii, 2002Our experiments were concerned with formation of antitumor cross-resistance by Trichinella spiralis infection in rats. Prophylactic infection was followed by an insignificant decrease in the number of 3,4-benzpyrene-induced malignant fibrous histiocytoma. It also inhibited mammary gland cancer induced by 7,12-dimethylbenzo(a)anthracene.

Efavirenz: resistance and cross-resistance.
International journal of clinical practice. Supplement, 1999Resistant strains, the major cause of treatment failure in the management of HIV infection, evolve whenever virus replication is incompletely suppressed by drug therapy. In such cases, genotypic analysis of proviral DNA or phenotypic analysis of viral isolates or recombinant molecular clones can provide useful information for the clinician. With regard

Collateral Sensitivity and Cross-Resistance
1984During the past 10 years cancer chemotherapy has established a valuable role in the management of many human malignancies. Its introduction has significantly improved the prognosis of patients with breast, ovarian and oat-cell lung cancers, and has resulted in long-term survivors or “cures” in cases of testicular teratomas, leukaemias, lymphomas and ...

Trimethoprim-resistant bacteria: cross-resistance patterns.
Microbios, 1978One hundred and eighty one strains (clinically isolated) of trimethoprim-resistant bacteria were tested for sensitivity to proguanil, pyrimethamine, methotrexate and methasquin. All these agents had less intrinsic antibacterial activity than trimethoprim, and there was marked cross-resistance between trimethoprim on the one hand and pyrimethamine and ...
